My Angel - My Baby Girl

In loving memory of our Scenic who we love so much.

Scenic  will be greatly missed and be in our hearts forever.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

The Memory of Scenic

Scenic was born on Feb 9,1996 in Tennasee at her Breeders home other known as B-Line Akitas. Scenic was my first really show puppy. When I called B-Line Akitas as I loved their Akitas. She told me she had a repeat breeding of a girl that I just fell in love with. She told me she had pick female available if I wanted her. She sent me the video and I just fell in love from the moment I saw her. This gorgous black and white puppy as so full of life. She reminded me so much of her granddad the Widow Maker. She just always seemed to look at you and smile. We started her show career in Canada where at her first puppy match she took Best of Breed and a puppy group 4 I was thrilled.

She quickly finished her Canandian Championship at  at young age. she took many Best of breed placements and also at one of the Canadain Specialities in Wyoming On. Took BOS. I was so happy with how she was doing. Always very striking in the ring. Only thing is she would much rather play then show. Always looking for the way out of the ring if she could. She also picked up 7 American Points before I decided that she really didn't like the showing part of life.

Since we bought Scenic as a show girl and for the future of Orients Pride Akitas we started looking for a suitable male for her to have her first litter with. That great boy was Ch. Serdess The Wizard. That litter produced our girl Sassy who has really put her stamp on our kennel. Scenic was a very proud and loving mother. She always wanted to know right where her babies were and to make sure they were safe. She would even want to take over my other girls babies if she could. Always a mother hen. Her last breeding was with our boy Carter. That breeding produced Cage, Asia and Neko.

Scenic was the type of girl that would always want to play. She would get down on her front paws with her butt in the air look up at you and just say.... come on you want to play? Then she would scoot around the kennel acting all silly. Even in the last few months scenic always tried to make the best of things and try to show us she wasn't the ole girl. That she still had alot of puppy in her. She didn't have one mean bone in her body.

In the month of Nov. We could see that she was failing more and more. As much as it sounds like a copout I didn't want to make the decision of having her put to sleep. I prayed that she would just fall asleep peacefully and not wake up. She started refusing food so tried to make things easier for her and gave her soft food, scraps what ever I could do to try to get her to eat but she had other things on her mind.... A place she knew that was calling her name. On the morning of Nov 2nd that time had come. I went out to see how she was doing to find her taking her last breaths to peacefully go to sleep and head to the rainbo bridge. How it killed me to see her leaving me. I think she was waiting for me to let her go. I rubbed her ears for the last time and  told her that I loved her so much and that it was ok for her to go to sleep. I Covered her with a blanket and she peacefully left me. How I miss her but know she is in a place where she will always be young. I will one day be with her again and do know that she will be watching over our family. I love you ole girl!!
